We briefly visited a house advertised by "Creteproperties4U" a couple of days before returning home. We liked it, but it was the end of our summer holiday so we left undecided. We were in touch with Mr Sartzetakis repeatedly by email and by phone as we debated if it was opportune and reasonable to engage in such an adventure. Mr Sartzetakis was extremely helpful in answering our numerous and very varied enquiries over a period of three months as we weighed the pros and cons. Once we had finally taken our decision, things went so smoothly that it was all over in under a month. Our only task was to obtain a certificate from the Greek consulate (we could have chosen a solicitor) giving power of attorney to a Greek solicitor recommended by Mr Sartzetakis, who also recommended an independent surveyor who carried out a detailed house inspection with a report in English. The solicitor kept us informed almost on a day-to-day basis. We came back to Crete in March. All our documents were waiting for us, Creteproperties4U were waiting for us with the keys, and we are delighted with the property! Lastly I would mention that Mr Sartzetakis always made us feel welcome when we called in for advice or an administrative query.
We would do it again without hesitation.
